Monolith is an American company restoring a critical raw material back to U.S. soil. Proudly headquartered in Nebraska with our flagship plant at Olive Creek, our mission is simple: strengthen supply of essential materials by producing them at home.
Through our first-of-its-kind technology and a decade of commercial operating experience, Monolith has become the first new, American owned carbon black producer to build U.S. capacity in more than 50 years. It represents a fundamental shift in how this critical material is made in America.
Monolith was founded on the belief that American manufacturing can be brought back by building a profitable company that supports the environment, creates quality jobs, and produces affordable, critical products.
Monolith’s Seaport demonstration project in Redwood City, CA is built, making it the first new carbon black plant built in the U.S. in 50 years.
Monolith successfully concludes its pilot program and breaks ground on its first commercial facility — Olive Creek 1 (OC1) in Hallam, Nebraska.
Monolith’s OC1 facility reaches mechanical completion and begins the commissioning phase.
Monolith’s carbon black reaches a major milestone with its carbon black making into millions of tires across North America and under the hood in the plastic brackets and bumper fascia of American vehicles.
Monolith is now ready to grow at its Nebraska site with a planned advanced manufacturing campus that when complete will make Monolith one of the largest carbon black facilities in the world.
