The Process Engineer Intern will be responsible for improving stable production at the Olive Creek 1 (OC1) Plant, as well as to develop the depth of process engineering experience that is needed within the company to help support OC1 and beyond.
Assist Monolith’s Process Engineering team in understanding and optimizing reactor operation and production
Work with process engineering, operations, and maintenance to complete projects that improve reactor uptime, including:
Validating heat and material balances
Optimizing utility usage
Analyzing equipment performance and generating correlations
Designing and implementing a plant improvement project
Gain a foundational experience in a continuous processing environment
Performs other duties as needed

Completed at least 1 semester of their 3rd year in an accredited chemical engineering program, and have excelled in the following courses:
Heat and Mass Transfer
Programming (Excel/VBA; Python or MATLAB a plus)
An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties and responsibilities.
Work will be performed within an operating plant environment. The majority of time will be spent within the management office or control room, but time working within the plant footprint will also be required.
