Monolith Hosting a Silent Auction
Get a Piece of Hallam's Past While Investing in Hallam’s Future
Place your bid for an authentic turn-of-the-century wagon to be auctioned, with proceeds going to Hallam Park.
As some of you may know, Monolith has been in the process of establishing an office locally in Hallam on 360 main street. The landowner of the property, Mr. Joe Polak, had a business established there before the EF4 tornado came through Hallam Nebraska. During the rebuilding of Hallam Joe came upon this vintage wagon which he and a friend refurbished and placed it in front of his business, Brothers Automotive. The year or the manufacture of the wagon is unknown, but he knows that it originated locally, as he found it at an old homestead near Hallam. The reason Joe selected the wagon and placed it in front of his store is that he thought it to be nostalgic. He stated that back in 1900, Hallam was known to be a boom town. Mr. Polak has decided to have the wagon put up for a silent auction and the highest bidder will be able to load up the wagon and its entirety, with all the proceeds going towards the Hallam Park project. Bids will be taken from January 23 until February 6th.
