Residents, Area Leaders Make Hallam Office Opening a Success
It was a packed house for the grand opening of Monolith’s new office on Main Street in Hallam, NE, on Thursday night, April 27. Hallam-area residents; Village Board members; government leaders and staff from the local, state and federal levels; and Monolith leadership attended the grand opening and dedication.
During remarks before a ribbon cutting, Monolith co-founder and CEO Rob Hanson noted, “Our first time in Hallam was back in 2018, and we’ve been coming back ever since.” He added that while Monolith’s facility is only one-half mile north of Hallam, it’s not easy to “stop by” a manufacturing facility. “This office changes all of that.”
According to Monolith’s executive vice president for development, Amy Ostermeyer, “A lot of the credit for this office goes to Gary Vocasek.” She explained that Gary is a tireless Hallam advocate and a Monolith fan. “I remember him saying, ‘Promise me that Monolith will always be present in the community.’ This office is part of keeping that promise.”
Robin Burianek, Monolith’s community engagement specialist and Hallam resident, reminded everyone, “The sign over the door says Monolith, but this is your office. This space was created for you.”
The Hallam office is Monolith’s fourth Nebraska location, joining a list that also includes offices in Kansas City, KS and Denver, CO; and a lab and office in San Carlos, CA.
