Your Role:

The Plant Accountant is responsible for accurately reporting the financial activity at Monolith's Olive Creek manufacturing facility in Hallam, NE.  The plant accountant will ensure effective financial processes related to inventory, cost accounting, expense reporting, budgeting and forecasting for the Olive Creek facility. 

You Will:

  • ​Lead Inventory/Cost of Goods Manufactured Accounting
  • Monthly reporting and reconciliation of supplies, feedstock and finished goods inventory using FIFO
  • Monthly accrual of OC1 manufacturing cost and operating expenses
  • Monthly manufacturing cost variance analysis – focusing on price, quantity and yield metrics related to reactor performance
  • Prepare audit schedules for plant supplies, feedstock and finished goods inventory
  • Work with plant leaders in team environment to develop, monitor and improve cost structure of the Olive Creek facility with development of key financial and operational metrics for performance
  • Complete Monthly and Annual Reporting
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts specifically assigned to Olive Creek facility
  • Prepare monthly actual vs. budget/forecast expense and capital spend reporting
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly re-forecasting for plant
  • Monthly recording plant capital projects in fixed asset system and tracking of capital projects compared to budget and forecast
  • Prepare annual capital and expense budgets
  • Optimize Plant Accounting Systems
  • Assist in implementation of plant ERP system as determined in the future
  • Maintenance and administration of plant accounting systems interfaces – Calem, Fishbowl and
  • Interface and reconcile plant cost systems with general ledger

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with minimum of 4 years work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Certification as Management Accountant preferred
  • Experience and comfort working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for process cost accounting
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties and responsibilities

Travel and Expectations:

Minimal travel is required.

The majority of the tasks involved with this position are performed in an open office environment
